HAMMONTON—More than 150 people attended the Hammonton Education Foundation (HEF) ThanksForGiving Gala on November 16. The event raised over $30,000 to support education in the community.

According to their report, the HEF has fulfilled more than $615,000 in grants to date, supporting teachers and staff in projects that benefit the students of Hammonton. Projects include the Music Garden at Early Childhood Education Center, the playground at Warren E. Sooy Jr. Elementary School, the sewing club at Hammonton Middle School, and field trips at Hammonton High School. In addition, the HEF sponsors pantries in each school providing necessities for students in need.
The grand prize for the evening was a $1,000, 4 night / 5 day all-inclusive Caribbean Vacation with Riu Resorts provided by D’Amico Travel
