HAMMONTON—The Hammonton Police Department won gold against the Hammonton Fire Department in the first Olympic games at the 11th annual Hammonton National Night Out on August 16 at the Hammonton High School grounds.
They competed in a hot potato contest, potato sack relay race, bounce house relay race and plunger race, and the police officers swept the events.
In some of the competitions, such as the hot potato contest, children were also able to play the game with the police officers and firemen.
Throughout the night, there were several fun activities for children including face painting, bounce houses and balloon animals.
