Joan L. Condie

Joan L. Condie, 93, of Hammonton, New Jersey and Annapolis, Maryland passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Joan was raised in Egg Harbor City, N.J. After graduating from Egg Harbor High School she attended the Philadelphia Academy of Music and Julliard in New York City. She was a mezzo soprano and pianist. She was a resident of Hammonton for 59 years with her husband Richard “Paul” Condie until his passing in 2023. Joan resided in Annapolis, Maryland for the last year of her life.

Joan enjoyed singing in the choir at St. Martins and playing her piano. Joan worked for many years at Ideal Clothing Store and always had an eye for fashion. She enjoyed working in her yard and sitting on her porch with her husband, family, and friends. She will be truly missed by many.

She was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Louise (nee Graws) Jiampetti; her brothers, Louis and Michael Jiampetti; sisters, Evelyn Guerrieri, Ruth Cipolla, and Florence Anderson; and her husband of 62 years, Richard “Paul” Condie. Joan is survived by her son, Richard P. Condie, Jr. and his wife Laura. Loving grandmother to Richard McClain Condie of Annapolis, Md. and Julianne Danielle and Thomas Coxe of Carlise, Pa.

Family and friends are invited to attend Joan’s Mass of Christina Burial, 11 a.m. Thursday October 24, 2024 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church, corner of French and Third St. Hammonton, NJ 08037. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery 124 S 1St Rd.
