To the Editor,
The support for the “massive” Trump tent by last week’s (Aug. 2 issue) letter writer is an affront to all parishioners of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish. As I stated previously, politics has no place at a predominantly religious event, but the letter writer apparently made his feelings clear: politics first, religion second. I’m sure church officers are paying close attention to this.
This may all be a moot point, though, since the tent is on private property, so anything goes. It’s a shame nonetheless, because partisan politics is ugly these days, as evidenced by a veteran who should know better.
