Communities thrive when they have a diverse array of businesses that cater to the needs and desires of their residents. To ensure that our town continues to grow and evolve in ways that benefit everyone, we are launching a survey open to the entire community. The goal? To understand what types of businesses residents would most like to see in town.
The process is simple yet powerful. By gathering input directly from the people who live, work and play in our community, we can gain valuable insights into the gaps in our local business landscape. This information will not only guide potential entrepreneurs in their ventures, but also inform local policymakers and economic development teams.
One of the key benefits of conducting such a survey is the opportunity to foster a sense of ownership and engagement among residents. When people feel that their voices are heard and their opinions matter, they are more likely to take an active role in shaping the future of their town.
The survey will cover a wide range of topics, from retail, services and entertainment options. Residents will be asked to rank their top choices. Before that, we are asking citizens to email suggested types of businesses they would like to see in town.
The data collected through the survey will be analyzed carefully to identify trends and patterns. This information will then be shared with local stakeholders in the hopes that the information may assist each of them in advancing economic development. Armed with this survey of community preferences, hopefully this will create opportunities for groups to collaborate and ways to attract and support businesses that align with residents’ wishes.
Ultimately, this survey is about more than just identifying market gaps; it’s about building a stronger, more vibrant community where businesses thrive and residents flourish. We encourage everyone to participate and make their voices heard. Together, we can shape a future that reflects the diversity, creativity, and spirit of our town.
In the next few weeks, we will be devising the types of businesses to be assembled in the survey. So to send in a suggested type of business for consideration email your idea(s) to Publisher@HammontonGazette.com, drop us your wish list of desired businesses and services by mail to Business Survey, 14 Tilton Street, Hammonton, NJ 08037, or just come by the office and give us your thoughts.
Let’s have some fun. Let’s encourage this ongoing community-wide discussion. And in the end, maybe we ignite the passion of entrepreneurs looking to invest in our community.
Deadlines for submissions will be Wednesday, April 24. The most popular suggestions will be gathered for the survey.
