The 2nd Annual Hammonton Rotary Club Winterfest, a free community celebration of the holiday season, will take place Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7-8, at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel carnival grounds, 1 Mount Carmel Lane in Hammonton.
The club has been busy making this year’s event bigger and better than last year with a stellar lineup of more than 30 vendors, music from the Hammonton High School Chorus and jazz band, a horse and carriage ride, plus some surprises that are sure to make the day memorable for the whole family.
The Triple Threat Workshop and The Eagle Theatre’s Cast of “Elf Jr.” will be stopping by to add some fun and entertainment.
Buddy the Elf and the rest of your favorite North Pole characters from the hit movie “Elf,” have been hard at work getting ready for their show, which runs Dec. 12-15 at The Eagle Theatre in Hammonton. You’re invited to meet the cast, have some laughs and join them in spreading Christmas cheer. Details and times will be posted on Hammonton Rotary’s Facebook page.
Winterfest celebrates the holiday season, uniting families, friends, civic and school groups, and local businesses. Most of it will take place under a larger 5,000-square-foot heated tent featuring a curated craft show, delicious food, and family-friendly activities.
Kids will enjoy games, crafts, balloon art, face painting, making s’mores around a fire pit (courtesy of the Hammonton Kiwanis Club), writing letters to Santa and taking their picture with the Jolly Old Elf in his sleigh.
Craft enthusiasts will choose from unique jewelry, dichroic glass pieces, and boho-inspired designs made from semi-precious stones and leather.
Guests will find laser-engraved signs, primitive wood crafts and hand-carved bowls. Natural product lovers can choose from eco-friendly body oils, soy wax candles and crocheted or knitted goods. Wreaths and wooden Christmas items will also be featured along with custom gift baskets and functional pottery.
After working up an appetite, guests can enjoy hot dogs, burgers, sausage, fries, funnel cake, soda, water and more at the food stand.
Top things off with funnel cakes, sweet treats like handmade cannoli and hot chocolate sold by the Scouts.
Like last year, the event will help local families in need by collecting unwrapped toys and nonperishable food items.
Times are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Saturday leads up to the 6 p.m. annual tree lighting right up the street in beautiful downtown Hammonton. Admission and parking are free.
It’s not too late to support this free community event. Sponsorships start at $250 and are still being accepted. Supporting Winterfest will create meaningful connections for you and your business—a true holiday gift for all. The 2024 platinum sponsor is Elm Dental.
The men and women of the Hammonton Rotary Club support youth, veterans, and neighbors in need through programs and events that promote education, fun, fellowship and the general welfare.
